New Venue

We’re thrilled to announce that the Fifth Annual BARCS Dog Wedding will take place at the M&T Bank Exchange at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center in Baltimore! This beautiful new venue gives us room to grow and create an even more magical evening for our guests. The Exchange blends the charm of Baltimore’s historic 1887 Eutaw Savings Bank with the modern luxury of a state-of-the-art performance space. Why we’re so excited about this move:

  • More seating and space so more guests can join the celebration.

  • A massive HD video wall and professional stage lighting to make every moment feel like a show.

  • An attached parking garage for easy access (no hunting for spots downtown; parking fees not included in ticket).

As we aim to raise $100,000 this year for Baltimore’s homeless and injured animals, this new venue will help us create an experience worthy of the incredible mission behind it—a night of love, laughter, and second chances you’ll never forget.

Schedule

**5:30 PM – VIP Sponsor Early Access to Cocktail Hour: New this year! Select sponsor levels receive 30 extra minutes of exclusive cocktail time with early access to the bar, professional photo ops, and behind-the-scenes fun (like snuggling the kitten bridal paw-ty).

6:00 PM – Cocktail Hour: Grab a drink, mingle with fellow animal lovers, and snap photos with our four-legged wedding party.

7:15 PM – The Ceremony: Watch as our adorable couple, Rooney and Wendell, tie the leash in a ceremony that’s equal parts heartwarming and hilarious. Bonus: the bridal party are adoptable kittens!

7:30 PM – Dinner & Dancing: Enjoy dinner, dessert, and a full night of music and fun. The dance floor at this event? Always packed.

Dress Code

We’re calling it “Whimsical Formal!” It’s a wedding… for dogs. So yes, it’s formal — but also fun! Think cocktail or evening wear, creative flair encouraged. Sequins, suits, feathers, florals — if you’d wear it to a human wedding (or a fabulous gala), you’re dressed just right. You can’t overdress for this night.

SERVICE ANIMALS

Because this event includes adoptable animals, we ask that guests who plan to attend with a service animal notify us in advance when purchasing tickets or by emailing events@barcs.org. This helps us plan for everyone’s safety and comfort — human and canine alike.

Please note: Only service animals trained to perform specific tasks for a person with a disability are permitted. Emotional support, therapy, or companion animals are not covered under the ADA and cannot be admitted.
